Koh Samui
So here’s my home for a couple nights…
It’s running me $14 a night. The fan doesn’t do a whole lot to keep me from sweating most of the night and there were a few scurrying noises running along the floor, but if I open the door, turn left and walk about 10 paces, I’m looking out at this…
And at night, this…
Not a bad front yard, huh?
So why am I in a bungalow on the Thai island of Koh Samui, you ask. And how does this place tie in with my father’s journeys?
The answer to the first is…why wouldn’t I? And to the second…frankly, not a whole lot. But seeing as I had to make my way from Malaysia to Bangkok, I figured I couldn’t pass up stopping at at least one Thai beach along the way.
This place used to be a big backpacker stop, but has turned into more of a tourist spot, now that-
Ah, screw it. I’m going for a swim.
Back with more when I hit Bangkok tomorrow for some Muay Thai fighting…
